Porsha Stewart Tried To Save Marriage Days Before Divorce

The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star come to the HollywoodLife.com offices just one week before her husband Kordell Stewart filed for divorce. In the video she says that she and Kordell were still trying to have kids and that he's her 'king.'

Porsha Stewart didn't mention any trouble in her marriage when she came to HollywoodLife.com to talk about her hit Bravo reality show The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. We asked her if Kordell really is a controlling husband and you'll never believe what she told us!

We Ask Porsha If Kordell Is Controlling'

When Porsha stopped by the office, we had to ask her about her marriage, she didn't even bat an eye when we asked whether he was controlling.

"Well I don't have a problem with a man having an opinion," she told us. "If you're a man, I need to know where you are leading our family. And I love that about him and along the way, there are some things I agree with and some things I don't. As long as he can respect my opinion and let me woo him into what I want."

We follow up our controlling question by asking the reality star is her voice is heard in the marriage and she said: "Absolutely! Oh ya we are a team. This is Team Stewart. He's the king and I'm the queen."

Kordell Files For Divorce

TMZ reported that the former NFL star filed for divorce in Georgia on Mar. 22. The two married on May 21, 2011. They don't have any kids, and in the divorce filing, he stated that the marriage is "irretrievably broken."

He also states that he doesn't want to pay her any spousal support.

In our interview with Porsha, she also talks about wanting to build her family with Kordell and keep trying to have a baby.
