With The View set to undergo some serious changes - neither Hasselback nor Joy Behar will return next season - sources tell Showbiz 411 that this beautiful actress is set to join the ABC talk show panel.

Barbara Walters is apparently a huge fan of Shields because she's the right age (47), is a Princeton graduate and is also a mother.

Shields will play a significant role this spring on Army Wives Season 7. But will she play a welcome role on The View?
