Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder Arrive In Asia For Romantic Vacation

'The Vampire Diaries' co-stars and lovebirds arrived in Shanghai on Dec. 27 for a month-long romantic vacation in Asia. So sweet!

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's romance is heating up, as they have arrived in Shanghai for a romantic vacation while on break from filming The Vampire Diaries. After spending Christmas together with Nina's family, they were seen leaving LAX airport on Dec. 26 to fly to Asia. Will they get engaged on their romantic trip?

Nina Ian's Vacation

Nina, 23, and Ian, 34, arrived in Shanghai Pudong International Airport for a month of traveling. Nina tweeted "And I'm at it again… Packing – but this time for CHINA! Leave in the morning and connect a bunch of times. It's going to be a lot of… Travel but its so worth it – I'm so excited !!! Can't wait! My first time to Asia!" on Dec. 25. Then on Dec. 26 she tweeted "Taking off- direct flight to shanghai!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ian also took to Twitter to express his excitement on Dec. 26, as he said "Bye bye beautiful mountains… I will miss you." The couple, who have been dating since 2010, will be spending New Year's Eve in the country — might Ian propose to Nina?

Their Relationship

Nina and Ian met while working together on their hit CW show The Vampire Diaries. Lovers both on and off screen, fans were overjoyed when their characters Elena and Damon finally got it on in Season 4.

Speaking about dating a co-star, Nina said to Seventeen, "Sometimes you can't help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long. It's funny that I said that, but you know what? It was honestly what I believed at the time. I didn't want to be dating one of my co-stars – my goal on the show was to be professional." So cute!
